Derry Township School District Psychology Internships: A Holistic Approach to Supporting Healthy Development

The Derry Township School District is proud to offer a unique opportunity for students and professionals alike to gain hands-on experience in the field of psychology through our psychology internships program. As part of our commitment to supporting the healthy development of children and their families, we have established partnerships with various organizations across New Hampshire to provide internship placements.

At NINH, our team of experienced psychologists and clinicians are dedicated to helping each individual reach their full potential through a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment. Our services cater to individuals across the lifespan, from preschoolers to adults, providing comprehensive assessments, therapy sessions, and support for those with neurodevelopmental disorders, behavioral challenges, and other mental health concerns.

One of our most exciting initiatives is the introduction of our new Preschool/Kindergarten program, Acorn Montessori, which will launch in 2020. This innovative program aims to provide a nurturing environment where young children can develop at their own pace, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play-based learning.

In addition to our preschool program, we also offer community play space, parenting seminars, and classes (Art, Music, Sign Language) specifically designed for parents and their young children (0-5 years old). Our THRIVE Parenting Resource, opened in 2019, provides a welcoming space where families can connect, learn, and grow together.

Our internship program is an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience under the supervision of licensed professionals. As a psychology intern at NINH, you will have the chance to work with our team on assessments, therapy sessions, and support groups, while also participating in case consultations and training sessions.
